Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Orbitmotion Services LLP (“Karigar Zone”, “we”, “us”) processes personal data when you use our website, mobile/WebView app, work listings, Portfolio, contact tools, notifications, network and chat features. We act as the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed for these services.
1. Scope and Consent
This Policy applies to Karigar Zone services operated by Orbitmotion Services LLP. By voluntarily submitting data and using requested features, you consent to processing for the clear purposes described here. We may also process data for uses permitted or required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian law.
You may withdraw consent by stopping the relevant feature, changing available settings, requesting deletion, or contacting us. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing already lawfully completed and may make account-dependent services unavailable.
2. Data We Collect
- Account and profile: name, registered mobile number, email, city, work role/type, experience, profile image, account/verification status and expiry information.
- User content: posts, descriptions, images, videos, portfolio work, selected sectors/categories, job details, city, contact number, comments and chat messages.
- Activity: likes, follows/unfollows, shares, post views, notification delivery/read status, reports, moderation actions and support/admin messages.
- Technical and security: IP address, browser/app and device information, session/device identifiers, timestamps, cookies or local storage, login attempts, rate-limit events, crash/error logs and security signals.
- Service and sponsored-content records: information you provide in connection with verification assistance, physical/in-person visits, site coordination, labour-related coordination, sponsored-content arrangements, support communications, service-request status and invoice or receipt reference details, where applicable.
3. Why We Use Data
- Create and secure accounts, maintain login sessions and recover passwords.
- Display profiles and posts; power search, city/category filters, feeds, Portfolio and work discovery.
- Enable WA/Call links, follows, likes, sharing, chat and personal notifications.
- Review verification, approve or moderate posts, enforce limits, prevent fraud, scraping, spam and abuse.
- Provide customer support, account deletion, service messages, requested offline contractor-related coordination and sponsored-content administration.
- Diagnose failures, measure performance and improve reliability and user experience.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests, disputes and safety incidents.
5. Cookies, Local Storage and App Permissions
We use essential cookies/local storage for login, CSRF protection, security, language, city, day/night theme and performance. Blocking essential storage may break login or features. Limited analytics or error tools may use their own identifiers as disclosed by their providers.
The app may request access to camera, photos/files or notifications only when needed for upload, download or alerts. Device settings can revoke permissions, but the related feature may stop working.
6. Retention and Deletion
We keep account data while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. Posts may remain until removed, made inactive, expired or moderated. Read notifications, logs and support/security records are retained only for a reasonable operational, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal period. Backups are removed through normal backup cycles.
After a valid deletion request, we delete or de-identify data that is no longer required, subject to legal obligations, unresolved disputes, fraud/security records and technical backup periods.
7. Security
We use measures such as HTTPS, access controls, password hashing, session and CSRF protections, rate limits, monitoring and restricted administration. No internet service is completely secure; users must protect passwords, devices and OTP/email access and immediately report suspected misuse.
8. Your Rights and Duties
Subject to the DPDP Act, 2023 and applicable rules, you may request a summary of personal data and processing, correction/completion/update, erasure, grievance redressal and nomination of another person to exercise rights in permitted circumstances. We may verify your identity before acting and may retain information where law permits or requires it.
You must provide authentic information, not impersonate another person, not suppress material information, and not make false or frivolous complaints. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India through the mechanism available under law after using our grievance process.
9. Children
Karigar Zone is intended for adults aged 18 or above and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly permit a child to create an account. If you believe a child's personal data has been submitted, contact us so we can review and remove it as required.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this Policy when features, practices or laws change. The effective date will be updated and material changes may be notified in the app, website or account notification area.
11. Grievance and Privacy Contact
For access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal, privacy questions or complaints, contact us from your registered details and describe the request. We will verify and respond within the period required by applicable law.
